Baby Ploof is part of a cycle of research on water that began with L'aquarium. The desire to create a piece with this material for very young children was born from observing children during performances of L'aquarium. This element clearly appealed to their imagination…
A transparent bathtub. Water. A large veil.
In and around the bathtub, a dancer.
Clap clap, cluck clap, tick tick.
A dancer awakens, is born in contact with water.
Discover your body, crawl, sit and finally... stand!
Return to the water and play with this ever-moving material,
dive, slide, splash.
Immerse yourself in a bath of softness.
Experiment.
Hand games, foot games.
Scenography
The stage space is circular, delimited by cushions. In the center, a plexiglass bathtub. In the bathtub, water. In and around the bathtub, a dancer.
The audience is seated around the circle, leaning on the cushions.
Baby Ploof is designed to adapt to many spaces, outdoors or indoors, in places designed or not for stage performances.
In the version for theaters, the light creation plays with the colors reflected on the water.
