Imagining a world between the virtual and the real.
A world where images seem to be what they are not. Or don't seem to be what they are.
A strange world, both familiar and distant, where visual and sound stimulation is permanent. Where everyone can transform their image, blur it, hide behind it.
Where information is so omnipresent that we can no longer sort through it, and our grasp on our environment becomes fragile.
For this piece, the artistic team collaborated with a team of neuroscience researchers who work on perception and unconscious phenomena. Alongside the creative process, the researchers conducted a scientific study on subliminal auditory perceptions.
