DES ILLUSIONS
2011
Arts & Sciences piece
Dance, drawing and music. Bodies, images and sounds.
Imagine a world between virtual and real.
A world where images seem to be what they are not. Or don't seem to be what they are.
A strange world, both familiar and distant, where visual and sound stimulation is permanent. Where everyone can transform their image, blur it, hide behind it.
Where the information is so present that we can no longer sort it out, that control of the environment becomes fragile.
For this piece, the artistic team collaborated with a team of neuroscience researchers who work on perception and unconscious phenomena. In parallel with the creation, the researchers are conducting a scientific study on subliminal auditory perceptions.
