Why support Corps Au Bord?
Supporting Corps Au Bord means supporting Natacha Paquignon's artistic research on the question of otherness in a world shaped by digital technology.
Her choreographic writing explores the relational dynamics of dance: the relationship between different people brought together in participatory creation projects; the relationship between humans and non-humans at work in Latency, which brings dancers and artificial intelligence into dialogue. In each of our projects, dance is a language for encountering the other.
Supporting the company means contributing directly to:
-
the creation of new works such as Latency, a choreographic dialogue between dancers, audience and artificial intelligence, developed with researchers in AI and in the humanities and social sciences;
-
the touring of our augmented reality works — The Invisible Party, Le micro-bal, La face dansée de l'Autre Soie, Zoostories — which make dance accessible in public space and in venues beyond theatres;
-
outreach and arts education activities with schools, with residents of various communities, and with audiences who have little access to culture;
-
fair pay for the artists and collaborators who bring each project to life.
Whatever its amount, your donation is a vital act of support for independent contemporary dance-making, rooted in its territory and open to Europe.
