DE LA DEMI-LUNE

Tassin la Demi-Lune

THE PROJECT

La face dansée de la Demi-Lune (The Dancing Side of the Half-Moon) is an augmented reality dance tour of Tassin la Demi-Lune. The creative process unfolded over two years, from 2022 to 2023, with public presentations each summer. The project was developed in partnership with L'Atrium - Espace culturel de Tassin and the City of Tassin la Demi-Lune.

La face dansée de la Demi-Lune is performed by secondary school students and residents of all generations.

CO-PRODUCTION: L'Atrium - Espace culturel de Tassin
FINANCIAL SUPPORT: Métropole de Lyon, DRAC Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes, City of Tassin-la-Demi-Lune

2022

On 9 July 2022, as part of the Les Estivales Tassulinoises festival, the work in progress was presented. A performance by secondary school students and company dancers accompanied the augmented reality scenes created in 2022. Throughout the festival, audiences could borrow touchscreen tablets equipped with the app to explore the tour on their own.

2023

The following year, a performance combining dance and augmented reality was presented as part of Les Estivales Tassulinoises on Saturday 1 July 2023. The company's dancers were joined by secondary school students and amateur performers. The installation remained on view all summer via the Revy app, downloadable on audience members' own smartphones.
